A joint partecipation of students and workers

 

The project, to provide adequate digital skills to both students and workers, follows a 'Y'-shaped training course. It consists of two differentiated and parallel training courses for the first part and of a joint participation of students and workers for the second part of the Executive Master, by following an organizational model typical of similar initiatives at European level, such as the EIT Digital Summer Schools.

Course modules

The didactic modules produced within the project will be available free of charge at the end of the courses. Participation in the courses will allow participants to acquire in-depth knowledge on the topics covered in an open and dynamic environment that leverages the experience of teachers, entrepreneurs and international experts.

Industry 4.0

The modules on Industry 4.0 will contribute to acquiring general knowledge on the subject, introducing concepts and ideas that will be the basis of the industrial and social development of the next decades.

Innovation manager

The Innovation Manager modules contribute to the growth in design capability, implementation and management of solutions based on IoT technologies and the growth of Industry 4.0, for the generation of value through the development of new products, processes and services.

Robotics

The Robotics modules contribute to identify automate subsystems and various architecture paradigms and articulate the roles that sensing, planning, and control play when considering a full robotic system.

Machine Learning

The Machine Learning modules provide knowledge about basics of machine learning (ML) and data, describes ML algorithms and tools and also explains the concept of Industry 4.0 and digitalization in industry 4.0.

Cloud and Fog Computing

The modules on Fog and Edge Computing allow you to acquire a better knowledge of data storage techniques and execution of complex processes, minimizing the impact on industrial plants and improving the performance of the production chain.

Cyber Security

The modules on Cyber Security for Industry 4.0 allow you to improve skills in the assessment and management of risks inside and outside the factory through innovative methodologies and technologies.

What is required for attending the course?

The courses are open to students of IT disciplines with a three-year degree and workers of manufacturing companies interested in increasing their skills in the field of digital industry.

How is the procedure for the selection?

The selection criteria are based on the basic digital skills of the participants which will be verified by a commission of teachers.

Which documents should I present?

It is not required to present specific documents. A self-certification is required.

Where the course will be attended?

The courses will take place online on the channels made available by the project.

What is the course fee?

The courses do not require fees.

Is there a final examination?

Depending on the editions there may be a final test to evaluate the skills acquired.

Will I obtain a certificate or credits?

Given the free nature of the course, there are no certificates or credits. Instead, a certificate of participation will be issued.

May I choose the edition of the course I would rather attend?

It is possible to choose any edition that meets specific needs / expectations / curiosities.

When will the courses take place?

The pilot course promoted by UNIBO and the second edition promoted by UNIFE took place in 2022.

The next course, promoted by UNIMORE, will start in October 2023.

In case of absence from one or more lessons, is it possible to access the didactic material?

All materials will be available online and accessible to participants in the student area.
